A port town hotel crafted with locals and travelers,
a hotel that is 'unfinished.'
Even when meeting for the first time, working together to 'create' something naturally brings people closer. CRAFTHOTEL Nishimachi DOCK is an ever-evolving, 'unfinished' hotel that always leaves room for new touches.
The concept of our hotel is centered around the theme of 'creating,' offering a place where the community and travelers can 'connect.'

As a noun it also means "ship."
NISHIMACHI
The name of the area where our hotel is located is well-loved by the local community. Moving forward, we aim to share the charms of Yaizu and Nishimachi with visiting travelers, while also uplifting the local area.
DOCK
It expresses the concept of "connecting," also conveys the idea of a 'ship's lodging' as a noun.
Urban Development
Yaizu City is blessed with abundant natural beauty and seafood, but in recent years, the tourism industry has been in decline. We hope to play a role in helping this region regain its former vibrancy. Our hotel's logo symbolically represents the process of a rough stone being polished and a new sprout emerging, embodying our hopes for Yaizu's future.

Community Involvement
Even during construction, we host events for the local community and future guests to enjoy. For example, before removing wallpaper, we held a 'Kakizome Event' where children turned the walls into an art gallery. In a DIY workshop, participants plastered and decorated the community space, sharing the experience of 'creating' together.

Renovation in Progress
In February 2023, the renovation work on CRAFTHOTEL Nishimachi DOCK began. A long-unused business hotel is being given a new lease on life. The replacement of wallpaper and equipment is currently underway. The renovation is progressing smoothly, and we eagerly anticipate the day when CRAFTHOTEL Nishimachi DOCK can welcome you in its new form.
How Tatenaoshi Works
Renovate Japan is a social business company addressing poverty issues. Since 2020, we have been running the "Tatenoshi" project, focused on revitalizing lives, vacant houses, and local communities. This social business initiative combines the restoration of people, vacant homes, and communities under the "Tatenoshi" project.
In particular, we utilize unfinished properties, which are not yet generating revenue, as almost free havens for those in need. At the same time, we offer the remaining renovation work as flexible part-time jobs that allow individuals to earn a living. During this period, we also provide support to connect them with their next employment opportunities or appropriate assistance programs.
